University of Bedfordshire Pipe Band

Return to Band Roster		UBPB Member Profile - Kayleigh McIntosh Kayleigh started playing the tenor drum in October 2006 with the Grampian Corby Pipe Band. Learning as fast as she was, her first outing with the band was only a matter of weeks after when she took part in Corby's Remembrance Parade. She enjoyed a fairly successful season with the Grampian, picking up a number of band trophies as well as Drumming prizes. In November 2007 Kayleigh made the jump from a grade 4A band to join the University of Bedfordshire Pipe Band in grade 2, a challenging task to undertake, considering her relatively short drumming career but nevertheless, has been very successful in doing so. Kayleigh is enjoying playing with the band and was part of the corps that won the title of All England Champion Drum Corps in Grade 2 and 1 in Ashbourne, July 2008. She is very much looking forward to another challenging season in 2009.
