Craig Budge was born on 26/12/91 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. As Craig came from a drumming family, he was very soon picking up the sticks left lying around by his father, David Budge.

From the age of 4 Craig accompanied his father to band practice every Sunday, where his dad was leading drummer with the Pride of Murray Pipe Band.

Craig developed a very strong interest in playing drum kit from the age of 9. In the early stages of his development in this style of drumming he was taught by his granddad, Willie Budge.

Craig started to take pipe band drumming lessons in 2002 with other young drummers of roughly the same age helping to form a corps for the newly reformed University of Luton grade 4 band.

After much hard work and practice, Craig was an important part of the band when they became grade 4B World Champions in 2007.

Craig is at present attempting to break into the grade 2 drum corps.
